Supper clubs are cool. They always have been. They are classic, old-school, much loved restaurants that represent a time when enjoying a meal with friends and family was special. Montana is home to many excellent supper clubs to this day.

Some of our supper clubs were founded in the 1940's. They became hubs of their communities, and several are still family owned. Large meals are also a staple of most supper clubs in Montana. For instance, at Lydia's Supper Club in Butte:

"When you dine at Lydia’s, every meal comes with our signature spaghetti, homemade raviolis, and French fries—because why choose when you can have it all?" (Lydia's Supper Club - Butte, MT)

According to Eatwith: "Supper clubs are essentially social clubs focused around dining, often with a unique, intimate, and immersive experience. They differ from traditional restaurants by emphasizing social interaction and a more personalized dining experience."

Supper clubs generally serve very high quality dishes, in a more relaxed and intimate setting than a traditional restaurant. Some are still 'social clubs' too, with special events and gatherings for their members.

Montana has several great supper clubs across the state, some with very loyal guests. Other states have so many that they've created online fan groups, such as the Wisconsin Supper Club Fans. Montana's supper clubs range from 'fancy traditional', to smaller, casual small-town bars.

BEST BREAKFAST IN BILLINGS

Steaks, prime rib, lobster, pasta, and seafood are the focus - although supper clubs often pick a heritage cuisine and stick to it. Huge, long menus are not typical. (Although you might get offered 4 different scampi options!)

For bigger cities across the country, there is "The Supper Club | Private Members Club". It's where devotees of 'the art of the dinner party' can come together in Austin, Miami, NYC, LA, etc. I think we need an online group for Montana.
