
New Conference and Film Festival in Montana Coming this Fall
You would need to look pretty far and even wider to find someone that isn't a bit of a lover of horses. Especially in Montana and the heritage that both the cowboy and cowgirl have with riding them into the history books.
Even in today's times, the abilities that a horse can afford a rancher when trying to move livestock from pen to pasture are, in my opinion, still the best option, even more so when it comes to mountainous terrain and stubborn cattle or calves.

New Conference and Film Festival in Montana Coming this Fall
With the horse being so prevalent in our history and in ranching today, it struck me odd that there weren't more "horse things" for those that either already are or are wanting to learn more about the equine world.

The Horse Haven Montana nonprofit group, based in Missoula, Montana is hoping to change that with a new conference and film festival "Connected Hearts - Horses, Humans and Companion Animals" to be held September 24-27, 2026. The event is billed as a "all equine-focused, international film festival and equine conference".
How to attend the New Conference on Horses in Missoula, Montana in September
Horse Haven Montana along with AniMeals No Kill Adoption Center & Animal Food Bank are partnering with EQUUS International Film Festival to bring the conference to the area. The organizers plan for "three and a half days of issues, panels, roundtables, workshops, demonstrations and receptions" regarding horses.
