This question has been getting a lot of Montanans fired up on Facebook!

Cooper, was born Frank James Cooper in Helena back in May of 1901. His parents came from England and had settled here in Montana. His father bought a ranch and Cooper would spend his summers on the ranch doing "cowboy" stuff, which would no doubt come in handy when we would later start in some major Westerns.

Check out this cattle brand that is coming up for auction later this month. It is a heart-shaped cattle brand that has been in one family all the way back since it was first registered in 1873. The brand was first registered to O.C. Whitney of Ennis, Montana on February 10, 1873.

The parade started on Main Street in Bozeman, continuing to Belgrade, Manhattan, and finishing in Three Forks.

Some professors and students criticized the slogan saying the term "Cowboy" is racist and sexist.
