How Great Is Montana For New Business Owners?
If you are sick of working the 9-5, checking in with the boss everyday, or having to explain every move you make, then this could be great news for you. Perhaps having your own business is something you have dreamed of doing but just needed a little boost of self confidence to take that next step. Here is your boost!
A study recently came out regarding the best and worst states to start a business in. Montana doesn't land in the top 10, but it also doesn't land in the bottom 10 either.
Montana DOES land in the top 20 for Best States to Start a Business.
Montana lands 17th on the list when compared to the rest of the U.S. What factors did WalletHub use to decide which states were at the top and bottom of the list? Here are the seven main factors:
- Avg. Growth in Number of Small Businesses
- Accessible Financing
- Labor Costs
- Availability of Human Capital
- Avg. Work Week (in Hours)
- Office Spaces Rent
- Educated Population
We are constantly seeing more and more businesses popping up all over social media, which seems to be the easiest, and most affordable, way to advertise if you are looking for new/more customers.
I have personally used a business advertised on Facebook for services and they were amazing. I would give them 5 stars all day long. You can find anything from handyman services, cleaning services, hair dressers advertising openings and cancellations, to junk removal services on social pages.
I would say if you are ready to be your own boss and you are in Montana, your odds of success seem to be above average, especially if you are offering any sort of manual labor service.
