What went into the study to find each state's ranking? Here are a few things that played a role in getting Montana to where it is today.

Crime: Montana is ranked 37th

Education: 25th place for this through the U.S.

Healthcare: Montana sits in the 35th position here.

Infrastructure: Montana ranks 18th for infrastructure.

Economy: We must be doing something right. Montana ranks #6 when it comes to the economy.

Last year (2022) Montana ranked #33rd out of all of the U.S. states but this year it has moved up.

20 License Plates Banned In Montana

This is just a small glimpse at banned license plates in the state of Montana. There are well over 4000 that could be added to this list.

Now why some of these are banned is beyond me. I don't find any of them offensive, that's for sure; the state of Montana has the right to refuse:

"any combination of letters or numbers, or both, that may carry connotations offensive to good taste and decency or which are misleading or a duplication of license plates provided elsewhere."- Montana Motor Vehicle Department
