The Great Solar Eclipse  (my name for it) is set to happen on August 21, 2017. Apparently, it's the first total solar eclipse seen from the United States since 1979. To put that into some historical context for you, that's 13yrs before my new morning co-host Ally was born. Jimmy Carter was president and you could pay for a gallon of gas with coins.

This upcoming eclipse is a big deal to some people. For instance, I was told that the town of Wheatland, Wyoming, where you can view the total eclipse, is expecting upwards of 100,000 people to invade their town to watch. Wheatland has a population of only 3,000, so where are all those people going to go the bathroom?

I also heard that people from all over the world are streaming to the United States, so they can watch this phenomenon take place that will actually only last a few minutes. Really?

This brings me to my poll question. I may walk outside to watch, but I would not drive from Four Corners to Belgrade to watch it. How about you? How far would you be willing to drive to watch this Great Solar Eclipse? Please take our poll below:
