Smoke and haze is expected to linger here in Montana.  The smoke has traveled down from large wildfires in Canada's Alberta province.  It is currently causing haze and effecting air quality in Montana as well as four other states.

Alberta is dealing with over 24 fires with the largest blaze burning out of control north or Edmonton.  This fire has burned 887 square miles and continues to grow.  10,000 Canadians have been forced from their homes and the air quality in Calgary is rated "Very High Risk."

If you find yourself being bothered by the smoke around the Gallatin Valley the bad news is that we are at the mercy of both the fires and incoming winds.
