The state of Montana has seen a rise in COVID-19 cases as of late, but the number of people hospitalized for the virus has actually gone down. Right now, there is only one person in the entire state who is in the hospital due to COVID-19.

Governor Bullock said in a press conference on Monday that the number of active cases that we've recently seen (over 45 in the past week) is due mainly to more testing.

In Gallatin County, the health department has recorded six new cases of COVID-19 in the past week. We currently have zero hospitalizations due to the virus, and have only had five people hospitalized, overall, out of 155 positive tests. We did experience one death back on April 27th.
