A study came out showing the diversity or the lack of diversity throughout the state of Montana, and it came up with the 10 least diverse cities in Montana.

What went into the study? First, Roadsnacks took towns with populations of 5,000 or more then they looked at the census for each of those towns and came up with a list of "Whitest cities in Montana". These statistics were taken in April 2022.

1. Whitefish

Whitefish has a population of a little over 8,000, an unemployment rate of 4.1%, and a poverty rate of 6.2%.

2. Livingston

The cute town of Livingston is home to over 7,690 residents. Has an unemployment rate of 2.1% and a poverty rate of 14.1%.

3. Belgrade

Just a few miles down the road from #9 on the list, Belgrade has just over 9,100 citizens, a .8% unemployment rate, and a poverty rate of 11.1%.

4. Lewistown

The smallest town on the list is Lewistown, with a population of almost 6,000, an unemployment rate of 6.1%, and a poverty level of 21.6%.

5. Laurel

A little more than 6,700 people call Laurel home. The unemployment rate is just shy of 2.5%, and the poverty level is just under 6%.

Miles City is sitting around 8,300 residents, an unemployment rate of 4.5%, and a poverty rate of 13.1%.
