The number of people being tested for COVID-19 has dropped dramatically in the past few weeks. Looking at the numbers provided by the Gallatin City-County Health Department, the number of tests in the first week of August is less than half of what were conducted in the first week of July.

There has been a lag in the reporting of numbers of people testing in August, so we used what has been provided, which is only through August 7th. We reached out to the Health Department and they told us that the state is having some technical issues that are delaying testing counts. They said they are "encouraging the state to get these issues resolved."
