Jemison was an astronaut for NASA for 6 years. She is also an inductee into the National Women's Hall of Fame and International Space Hall of Fame. The talent doesn't stop there; Jemison was also the first REAL astronaut to appear in an episode of "Star Trek: The Next Generation".
Jemison's passion for education goes above and beyond. She leads 100 Year Starship, which is a nonprofit initiative showing that the capabilities exist for human travel beyond our solar system to another star. She also founded an international science camp called "The Earth We Share" which is for students aged 12-16.
