CLOSED: One Of Bozeman's Favorite Restaurants Calls It Quits

It's always sad news to hear about any of our Bozeman businesses closing. There was a time in the last couple of years when businesses closed their doors for a short period of time but then would eventually reopen. We have also seen businesses in the area struggling to find a full staff and keep steady hours.

For one Bozeman business, the closure comes as a surprise to me, as we just had it a week and a half ago.

Unfortunately for the staff at this Bozeman restaurant, the doors have been closed. According to its website and its Facebook page, Famous Dave's has closed its doors permanently. Famous Dave's is located at 1230 N 7th Avenue, just off Oak Street.

Famous Dave's, known for its award-winning barbeque, is not the first business to close its doors in the last year. A few other businesses that locals were sad to see close include:

Bamboo Garden (421 West Main St)

Sir Scotts Oasis (204 West Main, Manhattan, MT)

The Inn on the Gallatin (65840 Gallatin Rd)

Silver Annies (107 East Main)

Goodwill (2130 Simmental Way)

So what will become of the Famous Dave's still standing building? Who knows, perhaps a new restaurant will take over and we will have another spot to grab some delicious food.

Hopefully, the employees will be able to find a new job quickly, as we know how expensive it is to live in the area and fingers crossed that something really great will take over the popular location where Famous Dave's is located.
