The city of Belgrade is doing its part to spread joy this holiday season. The Christmas Convoy will be a part of this year's Belgrade Festival of Lights.

Due to COVID-19, many events that take place this time of year will be a little different, but the Belgrade Community Coalition has been working hard to make sure that the Belgrade community has plenty of activities to celebrate the holidays, with social distancing taking top priority.

On Saturday, December 12, a Christmas Convoy will spread joy throughout neighborhoods in Belgrade. The convoy will include dump trucks, big trucks, pickups, and other vehicles that will be lit up and driving around town.

If you live in the Belgrade area, there's even a map of the 7-mile-long Christmas Convoy route. Organizers say that if your home is not along the route, there will be plenty of room for spectators to park and watch the convoy safely from your vehicle.

The Christmas Convoy is the first of its kind, and will begin at 6:00 p.m. this Saturday. Click here to check out a route map to find out if the convoy will be in your neighborhood.

In addition to the Christmas Convoy, you can take part in the virtual Gingerbread House contest, and shop at local businesses virtually with the One Stop Holiday Shop. Vendors will be selling holiday gifts and treats on the Belgrade Community Coalition Facebook page, similar to QVC. You can also participate in the Virtual Jingle Jog.
