Big Sky Resort Announces Face Covering Requirement

According to a statement released on Thursday, beginning Saturday, July 11, 2020, face coverings must be worn by all team members and guests when at Big Sky Resort.

Understanding that no reasonable efforts can eliminate possibilities of a virus being transmitted, we remain committed to taking every step to help protect the safety of our team members and guests.

The health and safety policies may be revised at any time.

All team members and guests ages 5+ must wear an adequate face covering at Big Sky Resort. This requirement applies at all times in indoor public areas (lobbies, hallways, restrooms, restaurants, shops, meetings, event facilities).  This requirement also applies in all outdoor areas where a minimum six-foot distance from others cannot be maintained.

Team members are continuously updated and trained on the evolving standards and practices in order to provide a safe environment for all guests.

Big Sky Resort respectfully requests guests to adhere to the requirement by following guidance provided by team members, and observing signage when visiting. Specifics on covering locations are provided, but not limited to those listed below:

• When attending scheduled conference meetings or events, a face covering must be worn at all times.

• When dining at Big Sky Resort or vising any venue serving food and/or beverages, a face covering must be worn at all times except when actually eating or drinking.  This includes while being seated, when ordering, and upon departure.

• When golfing at Big Sky Resort, a face covering must be worn in the arrival/cart check-in area and golf shop, when interacting with any golf course personnel, and when visiting with any guests not in immediate party.  If distanced at least six feet from others, face coverings are not required while on the course or driving range.

• When visiting the Solace Spa, a face covering must be worn in all areas of the facility including the lobby, relaxation and locker areas, and treatment rooms. A face covering may be removed when face down during a massage and during facial or wet treatments.

• When biking at Big Sky Resort and in areas where distancing six or more feet isn’t possible, face coverings are required.  A full-face biking helmet does not suffice as a face covering. An adequate face covering must be worn with helmets.

• A face covering must be worn in the resort village/base areas when unable to maintain a distance of six or more feet from anyone outside of your family/party.

• A face covering must be worn at all times in chairlift loading and unloading areas.

• When participating in other activities such as those provided by Basecamp at Big Sky Resort, a face covering must be worn in the check-in area and anywhere a distance of at least six feet from others cannot be maintained.
