Kuva, a Great Pyrenees dog, was shot this past Thursday in his owner's backyard in Belgrade. What makes this especially scary for dog owners, and especially Kuva's owner, is that the shooting took place in town, near the high school. The dog was shot in the chest with a .22 caliber bullet; but luckily it narrowly missed Kuva's carotid artery. Thankfully, Kuva is recovering, and according to his owner, in good spirits.

Authorities have been contacted and there is a $500 reward for anyone who provides information that leads to the conviction of the person or persons responsible. If you have any information about Kuva's shooting please contact the Belgrade Police Department.
