The Belgrade Police Department got a call of a woman being Robbed in the Albertson’s Parking lot in Belgrade at 2:45 yesterday afternoon. The woman struggled with the suspect and suffered some injuries.

The suspect and others fled the scene in a red vehicle with Washington Plates. Montana Highway Patrol Troopers located the vehicle westbound on I-90 near Manhattan.

A pursuit ensued to include high speeds in excess of 100 mph. At one point the suspects began driving the wrong direction into on coming traffic on I-90. Troopers discontinued the pursuit at that point for the safety of others.

The Troopers began back tracking and found evidence that the vehicle had left I-90 and turned onto Cottonwood Road. Troopers later found the vehicle on Cottonwood road in the Milligan Canyon area. Two suspects were taken into custody at that time. The third fled the area and a search was conducted.

The third suspect was arrested with the assistance of the Montana Highway Patrol helicopter and a Gallatin County Sheriff’s Office K-9 team.

Officials have verified that all three in custody are from Washington State. At this time they have 2 adult males and 1 female juvenile in custody.

Detectives are working on witness statements and interviewing suspects.

Officers from the Belgrade Police Department, Montana Highway Patrol, Gallatin County Sheriff’s Office, Broadwater County Sheriffs Office and the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office all worked together to put an end to this incident.

There are no other known suspects at large relating to this crime.
