From Glacier to Yellowstone, the trails, lakes, and small towns all bring something special to the table. If you've been here, you know it. If you haven't, well... lucky you if you ever get the chance.

But is Montana America’s favorite state?

According to a new YouGov survey, the top spot for 2025 actually goes to Hawaii. More than 2,000 people were surveyed and asked about favorable and unfavorable states. 

Montana still ranks strong, though. We’re typically near the top of anymost lovedlist. And let’s be honest: even if we didn’t get first place, a little less attention might not be the worst thing.
