Avalanche Advisory Issued for Bridger Mountain Range
According to mtavalanche.com, the Bridgers received around 4 inches of new snow last night. With below freezing temperatures last night, and warmer temperatures in the forecast for the weekend, an avalanche advisory has been issued.
The warm weather will cause the snow to soften, and become loose causing wet avalanches. If you sink in past your boot tops in soft, slushy snow, it’s time to move off steep slopes find shadier areas. Also, it is advised to avoid steeper terrain.
