Montanans Quick To Point Out Viral Photo For Being Fake
AI has been around for a while, but lately, it's taken over social media in ways we never imagined. I always knew AI would be a game-changer—helping with workflow, creativity, and problem-solving. But with that power comes everything else.
The floodgates of AI image generation have burst wide open, and many people can't tell what's real and what's not. Scrolling through your feed, you might not even realize that some of the stunning, dramatic, or even bizarre images you see were never captured by a camera. I've fallen for it a few times myself, but after closer inspection, I realized it was AI.

Recently, an AI-generated image was posted in a popular Montana Facebook group," I Grew Up In Montana," sparking a wave of reactions. Some seemed to believe it, others were skeptical, and most saw right through it.
The photo that caused the ruckus? A scene of what appears to be hundreds of bears sprawled across a paved road in Yellowstone National Park—Red Flag #1.
Paired with the photo was an overly creative caption with an explanation worthy of a fiction novel—Red Flag #2.
"Bears Form Unprecedented Blockade at Yellowstone Entrance—Scientists Fear They Know Something We Don't...Hundreds—possibly thousands—of grizzly and black bears have gathered at the park's entrances, blocking all roads and refusing to budge, causing traffic delays, camper evacuations, and an existential crisis among park rangers..."
If that doesn't scream too wild to be true, I don't know what does. To highlight some of the hilarious comments, here are my personal favorites:
"How long will the road be bear-i-caded??" - David
"They're objecting to Trump/Musk handling of the park service foolishness" - Mary
"Maybe the asphalt warms them... our maybe old faithful is going to explode" - Terri
While this image is an obvious AI creation, others are far more convincing. Before believing everything you see online, take a closer look—you might be surprised. Want to see the post for yourself? Check it out HERE.
