I heard a community gasp let out yesterday with the arrival of August….Gasp… “Not much summer left”….Gasp (something along those lines).  Let us not forget, with the arrival of August on your wall or desk calenders comes all sorts of fun activities in Bozeman. Right off the rip and non-stop! Check out this week’s schedule of events.

Here are some of the events I’m really looking forward to:

Monday, August 2, 2011 – Chalk on the Walk

Festival of the Arts attendees (both children and adults) will be expressing themselves by taking the chalk to main street (between Grand Ave and Broadway)

Wednesday, August 3, 2011 – Bite of Bozeman

Enjoy the fun downtown from 6-9 pm. Food and drink provided by over 40 food vendors in and around Bozeman. Also entertainment performed by Lang Termes and Friends, Skavocado, Fiddle Dundee, Bridger Creek Boys, amd more.

Thursday, August 4, 2011 – Art Show Opening at the Bozeman Public Library

The Sweet Pea Festival Art Show will once again be held in the Atrium Gallery of the Bozeman Public Library. An exhibition of open artwork in diverse media will feature many talented artists. The public is invited to attend the opening reception on Thursday from 6-8 pm. The show runs from Thursday, August 4 to Friday, August 26, and may be viewed during the library’s normal business hours: Monday–Thursday, 10 am–8 pm; and Friday–Saturday, 10 am–5 pm.

There’s also gonna be great music at Lindley Park this weekend for Sweet Pea (The Yes Team, Shawn Mullins, and more), the Sweet Pea Parade this Saturday, the Sweet Pea Ball this Saturday night, and so many other cool Sweet Pea related activities and events. Click here for your full schedule.
