This is Montana’s Favorite “Junk Food”? Really?
Americans love "junk food", and I get it. Who doesn't love cookies, candy, chips, and ice cream, right? So before we dive into what Montanans say is their favorite junk food, let's first define what junk food is. According to Oxford:
"food that has low nutritional value, typically produced in the form of packaged snacks needing little or no preparation."
Alright, now that we know what we're talking about, let's get down to our favorites. It's no secret that I'm a foodie, so for me to pick my favorite, that's a little difficult. However, if I had to choose one, it would be ice cream.
Of course, I'm not alone on this one; a whole lot of Montanans love ice cream, but apparently, that's not our top choice when it comes to junk food. So if it's not ice cream, what is it?
Well, I'll be honest with you, I was a little surprised to find Rice Krispy Treats taking the top spot. Yep, apparently, Montanans love that snap, crackle, and pop, according to eatthis.com.
Don't get me wrong, I don't hate them; in fact, my wife made some a couple weeks back and they were delicious—but favorite? I don't know if I would put them at the top of the list. I'm not even sure that they would make my Top 5. However, who am I to argue with the people?
Do you agree or disagree? As a Montanan, are Rice Krispy Treats your favorite junk food?
