When It Comes To Education, Which Montana Towns Are At The Top?

When preparing for the future, one of the most important things any young person can focus on is their education. A good education can be a tremendous road map for success in life as far as opening doors and getting people where they want and who they want to be.

As far as Montana goes, which towns come out on top?

U.S News and World Report came out with the rankings of the Best High Schools in America. So, how do they determine this? Great question, the school rankings are determined by using the formula of graduation rate and college readiness percentage.

According to U.S. News and World Report, the best High School in the state of Montana is located in Bozeman. Bozeman High comes in at number one with an 85 percent graduation rate, along with that comes a college readiness percentage of over 42.

Coming in at number two is Whitefish High School. Whitefish High has a graduation rate of 94 percent and 24 percent of those are college-ready according to the info. Hamilton High School rounds out the Top 3 with a graduation rate of 95 percent, with 33 percent of the students being college-ready.

As far as the rest of the Top 10, Red Lodge comes in 4th, followed by Helena High, Belgrade High, and Park High in Livingston.  Twin Bridges comes in 8th with Frenchtown and Sentinal High in Missoula coming in 9th and 10th.

Personally, I think it's wonderful that some of the best public high schools in Montana come from smaller towns.  It really is a testament to the teachers and administrators of those schools as well as the parents in the communities. Congratulations to all of the High Schools that made the list.
