Spring Into Action: Join Bozeman’s Annual CleanUp Week
We've finally had some warm, sunny days, and most of the snow in Bozeman has melted away. But as the snow disappears, it's revealing a few surprises—not treasure, but trash… and a whole lot of dog poop.
If you've stepped outside and noticed the same thing happening in your yard, you're not alone. After months of deep snow, dogs did their business wherever they could, and, well… there wasn't much we could do about it.

Also as walking around town or shopping areas, you might have spotted quite a bit of litter where the snow used to be pilled up.
Now, as everything thaws out, it's time for a little spring cleaning—just in time for Bozeman's annual CleanUp Week!
When is the Bozeman Annual CleanUp Week?
The city is scheduling the big volunteer days for April 19-27th.
Why Is Picking Up Trash After Snow Melt Important?
Well, beyond the fact that it looks messy and littering is against the law, there are bigger reasons to consider—especially for our little slice of Montana.
"Not only do cleanups improve habitat for humans and critters within city limits, but they also directly impact our downstream neighbors by helping to keep our streams and rivers clean." - City Of Bozeman News.
We all know picking up trash typically is not the most exciting thing to participate in, but the city is doing some fun things as well to make it more exciting!
If you choose to participate individually or register as a group, you can pick up a custom CleanUp Kit at the Gallatin Valley Earth Day Festival. The Festival will be held on Saturday, April 19th, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Gallatin County Fairgrounds.
During the Festival, there will be an opportunity to join a PickUp Parade, April 19th!
Let's come together to make Bozeman a cleaner place and have some fun while doing it! If you would like to register for the CleanUp event you can register HERE.
