This is When Headlights are Required in Montana
The Montana Highway Patrol posted a reminder for motorists to use their headlights in bad weather. In Montana, headlights are required at any time you cannot see persons or vehicles for 500 feet (because of snow, dust, etc.).
In addition to using your headlights in weather with low visibility, you must also use them from 1/2 hour before sunset to 1/2 hour after sunrise. For more information on safety laws in Montana, click here.
