Story Mansion For Sale – Again

The Story Mansion is for sale again, and this time the City of Bozeman is willing to sell to anyone, even a private buyer.

The 113 year old year old house, that was for the majority of the time, a home to the SAE Fraternity, has gotten over $2 million dollars in renovations, although needs more.

The city bought the property two years ago for $1.3 million.

The Bozeman City Commission on Monday voted unanimously to terminate a contract with Exergy Friends of Story Mansion after finding the group in default of its agreement to buy the mansion.

Commissioners say they will sell the mansion on the open market for no less than 90 percent of its appraised value.
