Springtime in Montana is a breath of fresh air—literally. The snow starts to melt, the sun sticks around a little longer, and suddenly there's green grass, blooming wildflowers, and trails just begging to be explored. But just as we start swapping snow boots for hiking boots, another season kicks off hard and fast: construction.

If you've lived here for more than a minute, you know our road crews have a brutal timeline. Between the snow, ice, and unpredictable weather, winter pretty much shuts everything down. So once spring hits, it's game on to beat the clock. Road construction crews are racing the small window of opportunity to get projects wrapped before winter grabs the mic again.

And yeah, we get it—it can be frustrating. Especially when you mix in tourist season, with out-of-towners rolling in by the busload to take in all that Big Sky beauty. It becomes a collision of "we gotta get this done" and "please get out of the way, I am going to be late to work."

So with that said, sorry to be the bearer of bad news, commuters and travelers heading through the Bozeman Pass this week... we've got some closures to talk about.

"The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) and CK May Excavating will rehabilitate approximately 11 miles of Interstate 90 (I-90) through Bozeman Pass in Gallatin and Park counties. This project is located between the Jackson Creek Road Interchange (Exit 319) and the I-90 Business Loop Interchange (Exit 330) west of Livingston." - Montana Department of Transportation.

The closure is expected to happen between 9:30 am and 3:30 pm, but could vary. The closures are supposed to only happen in 30 minutes at a time, and you should expect delays up to an hour.

Vintage Photos Of Montana

It's hard to imagine what Yellowstone National Park would look like in black and white. We are so used to seeing the colors that make it one of America's favorite travel destinations. Jezel Doughert's grandmother passed away and like many of us do, she spent hours going through years and years of history, from old yearbooks to news clippings, to pictures. Jezel sent me a piece of history that, if not for her, I wouldn't be able to share with you.
