Here's a confession: I'm a foodie. Of course, I'm not the only one here in Big Sky Country.

Even though Montana is one of the least populated states in the country, when it comes to culinary creations, the Treasure State comes up big. Whether you're looking for something real basic, like a classic diner dish, or a dish that's a little more fancy, where you need more than one fork, you will find it here in Montana.

So, when it comes to the best option for "fast food" in Montana, which dish or restaurant comes out on top? Is it the pork chop sandwich? What about the pasty? Or, how about something bison-related? Of course, we're talking about the legendary Pickle Barrel. With the original location near the Montana State University Campus and a second location in Livingston, you would be hard pressed to find a more beloved dining institution in the state.

With several delicious options available, it seems that everyone has their favorite Pickle Barrel sandwich. (I'm a cheesesteak guy. Just the idea of all of that meat, cheese, and bread is making my mouth water thinking about it.)

Oh, and did we mention how humongous the sandwiches are? One of my favorite things to do is get a Pickle Barrel sandwich, eat until I'm stuffed, then finish the rest of it a few hours later.
