Road trips in Montana are some of the best trips you can take due to the fact there are so many great locations statewide to see. The thing is, there is one road trip stop that is just down the road from Bozeman that is absolutely special and great to check out during the summertime.

MSN Living put together a list of the Best Road Trip Stops in Every State and for Montana, they chose a great one.

MSN Living said the Best Road Trip Stop in Montana is the Lewis and Clark Caverns State Park, just outside of Cardwell, Montana.

The best part about this park is that it's completely underground and stays cool during the summer. You can take guided tours through the caverns and it's truly magical. It's of o the largest limestone caverns in the world.

They have a campground but if you want to get a guided tour make sure you call ahead of time because they are doing limited tours during the COVID-19 pandemic.

If you can't make it this summer to the Lewis and Clark Caverns, they also open on Thanksgiving and New Years Eve to make things even more special.

Here in the Gallatin Valley we are close to some pretty incredible places like Yellowstone, Big Sky, the Crazy Mountains, Paradise Valley and so many others but the Lewis and Clark Caverns don't get enough credit.

If you have never been there go experience one of the coolest cave systems in the Northwest.
