So while menus are being planned, and outfits are being picked out, for many Montanans choosing a New Year resolution is also part of the festivities.

Full disclosure, I've tried the whole New Year resolution several times and for the most part, I've always failed miserably, and while I'm right up there with the rest of the world, that doesn't seem to stop us from trying.

Yep, the number one resolution for Montanans is to lose weight.

Listen, as a fat guy, that's been my resolution for years, and some years I do better than others. However, there are all kinds of options that folks have these days that they didn't have 5, 10, or 20 years ago.

Whether you choose to watch calories, work out, do a diet, use a medical option, or some combination, the fact is, there is more help now than ever before and that's a good thing.

Remember, healthy weight loss takes some time and so much of the success or lack of will come down to your mindset. Whatever, you choose to resolve, I wish you the very best of luck.
