Montana State To Gain More Television Exposure in 2022
With all the success Montana State has had over the past few years, this is a home run for fans and student-athletes.
406 MT Sports announced that The Scripps Company has agreed with the Big Sky Conference to broadcast Montana State Bobcat and University of Montana Grizzly conference football games shortly.
This means if you're a Bobcat or a Griz fan, you will be able to watch your team play every Saturday come this Fall, no matter where you live. The Scripps Company will air games on either NBC, CBS, or CW local stations.
This agreement doesn't change last year's deal with ESPN either. Folks will still be able to stream Montana State football as long as the game doesn't have blackout restrictions.
There is also one intricate part of this deal we haven't talked about either. With this deal, Montana CBS will now be home to the annual Brawl of the Wild game between the Bobcats and the Griz. That means the Brawl of the Wild will no longer be shown on ROOT Sports.
That means you won't need a cable subscription to watch the Brawl of the Wild for the foreseeable future. That's huge for all fans!
This is an incredibly smart deal for The Scripps Company. Montana State and the University of Montana have been two of the best teams in FCS college football for the past several years, and they deserve more exposure. If you didn't know, both schools have been recently ranked in the Top 4 in a preseason football poll.
This deal will ease the minds of so many fans who want to watch the Bobcats every week in our state and now will have the opportunity to cheer them on this upcoming season.
