Why Are Igloo Coolers Being Recalled?

If you own an Igloo 90 Qt. Flip & Tow Rolling Cooler, you need to pay attention. Turns out, the tow handle design can crush or even amputate fingers when it folds down. Yep, you read that right—your cooler could take a finger off.

According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, there have already been 12 reports of serious injuries, including amputations, deep cuts, and even bone fractures

Which Igloo Coolers Are Affected?

With over 1,060,000 of these coolers sold in the U.S. alone, odds are pretty good some are hanging around Montana. If you’ve got an Igloo 90 Qt. Flip & Tow Rolling Cooler made between January 2019 and January 2025, check the bottom for the manufacturing date.

Montanans are tough, but let’s be realwe’d rather keep all our fingers. If your cooler is on the list, stop using the handle and check the recall info for next steps HERE.

Stay safe out there, and may your beverages stay ice cold, and you keep your phalanges.
