Last year was NOT  a good year for me.  I had major surgery and the flu, and those came after about 2 years of suffering  from some boring problems that I won't bug you with.  Those are the reasons we aren't going on vacation for spring break.  I am low on vacation days, and after paying off all the medical bills...low on funds!  The kids were excited about the thought of a stay at home vacation, and I decided to do something fun every day.  The first day, we went to the Museum of the Rockies.  Sunday was shopping for some and skiing for others.  Monday was going to the movies.  Then, after being healthy for 3 1/2 months, Mom got sick, so I decided to try pajama day for Tuesday.  It worked!  We've been watching movies, hot tubbing, eating  junk food, and playing legos.  I love kids.  This is their favorite day so far.  It doesn't have to be a "big" event or a big vacation to be memorable and fun.  The kids love their camping trips to Yellowstone as much as they love a trip to the beach.   I still feel awful, but we have more fun events planned.  Not for tomorrow.  Tomorrow is dentist, hair, all the appointments I don't like to take them out of school for.  I will throw in lunch at Burger King, with Rango toys, and tomorrow will even be a hit!  Then it's skiing, Chico, and other fun area stuff.  We live in a vacation destination, so if you are doing a home vacation, enjoy!  Maybe I will see you at one of the many wonderful places we have around here!
