Lost Retainer – “I Swear I Had It!”

One down, and I assume several to go.

My daughter, Emma, just got her retainer after getting her braces off.

That was a couple of weeks ago.  We have already lost a retainer.  We noticed it last night, right before bed.  We turned the house upside down trying to find it with no luck.

I remember when I had mine, and going through the garbage several times to find it.

She SWEARS she had it on when she came home from school.  I have my doubts.  My house is pretty organized (right now), we went through the garbage, seat cushions, etc., and no retainer!

I've decided that I will pay for the new one.  She gets one lost one on my tab, then it's her responsibility to pay for it.  She's a good kid, and usually keeps track of her stuff.

Do you have any good tricks for keeping track of a retainer?
