Lady Antebellum Tease New Single, Mourn Loss of Aunt B in First 2013 Webisode
2013 has been year of new beginnings -- and sad endings -- for Lady Antebellum. The Grammy Award-winning trio used their first Webisode Wednesday feature of the new year to discuss the latest happenings in the life of one of country music's leading bands.
First on Lady A's agenda is the release of new music, which the trio promises will happen very soon. In fact, the band shared a five-second clip of their new single, which is expected to hit radio later this month.
"We've got a baby on the way. We've got a new record on the way. We've got a few cool television appearances on the way," dishes Lady A's leading lady, Hillary Scott. In addition to their delivery of new music, the singer announced last year that she and her husband are expecting their first child this summer.
With life, comes death -- even for one of the hottest acts in country music. Charles Kelley appeared understandably shaken up when he had to break the news that his cherished Aunt B passed away over the holiday, reportedly from her unhealthy craving for deviled eggs.
"My precious Aunt B passed away," shares Kelley. "We has some trouble in the past, but she's still family and I love her."
Even in their time of mourning, Lady A seems optimistic about their future. "We're really proud of the music we're making," says Kelley. "Our teams seems really excited about it, which makes us feel good."
"Hopefully, that means y'all will like it," says the singer.
The upcoming single is first offering from the trio's forthcoming fourth studio album, the follow-up to their 2011 platinum-selling 'Own the Night' record.
