Joey + Rory continue to inspire by celebrating the big and little life moments as Joey Feek publicly fights her battle with Stage 4 cancer. On Monday (Feb. 1), more reasons to celebrate came in the form of a ACM Awards nomination for Vocal Duo of the Year.

The husband and wife duo are nominated at this year's ACM Awards alongside Brothers Osborne, Dan + Shay, Florida Georgia Line and Maddie & Tae. The 2016 ACM Awards will broadcast live on April 3 from Las Vegas on CBS at 8PM ET.

Joey + Rory's ACMs nod follows another major nomination for the duo at the upcoming Grammys. During the Grammy nomination announcements in December, Joey + Rory found themselves up for Best Country Duo/Group Performance category with their song “If I Needed You.”

Rory Feek shared the good news, as well as a sweet note, with fans on Facebook:

… Woke my bride up this morning with a baby in my arms and the news that our version of ‘If I Needed You’ was nominated for a Grammy. As her excitement and tears flowed into mine. She said, ‘how can that be?’

….the song received no radio airplay … no press … no critical acclaim … and the only music video we made for it was to celebrate the day our little Indiana was born.

God is so good.

Thank you, thank you, thank you.

In an interview with the Tennessean shortly after they learned of their Grammy nod, Rory shared that Joey hopes to survive to see the Grammys, as well as the release of their hymns album on Feb. 14 and their daughter Indiana's second birthday on Feb. 17.

"Joey set a personal goal (Monday) morning of being here for all three,” Rory said. “She’s so faith-filled and determined, don't be surprised if you see us sitting in the audience at the award show, holding hands and smiling when they open the ballot and read the winner’s name."

Joey Feek decided to return home to Indiana with her family after doctors revealed there was nothing more they could do to fight her cancer. She is currently on hospice care.
