The movie was filmed in Oklahoma and features huge stars like Robert De Niro and Leonardo DiCaprio, but an actress from Montana also plays a key role in the film.

Montana native Lily Gladstone will play Mollie Burkhart, an Osage woman who was married to Ernest Burkhart (Leonardo DiCaprio). Gladstone is a member of the Blackfeet and Nez Perce tribes and was born in Browning, Montana. She also attended the University of Montana.
According to Variety, Gladstone lost 30 pounds while filming the movie.
