LOOK: You’ll Need Generational Wealth To Afford A Bozeman Hotel This Summer
Vacations in Bozeman are expensive. Heck, Montana overall has become expensive. One of the most expensive parts of your trip is going to be accommodations, no matter what type you prefer.
Although progress is being made, hotel room demand has not yet caught up to Bozeman's inventory - which makes for higher prices. Several new hotels (in every price range) are currently being built. That should help prices ease up a bit in the near future.
Bozeman is one of the top vacation destinations in Montana, and the Bozeman airport is the busiest in the state. It's no surprise that hotels are quite expensive (if they're available at all), for the big holidays or Bozeman events.
We did a simple online search for hotel rooms in Bozeman over the 4th of July weekend - the 4th lands on a Friday this year, FYI. That didn't help matters. Hotel rooms were sill available, but prices were already high.
Staying in historic Downtown Bozeman was expensive, but Big Sky Resort and other luxury accommodations in Big Sky seemed far pricier this year.
When searching for only hotels, the fancy places in the surrounding area fetched the highest prices - Big Sky, West Yellowstone, etc. The bargains were to be found in smaller towns like Three Forks and even Livingston.
- Residence Inn by Marriott Big Sky/The Wilson Hotel: $563/night (July 2 - 7)
- C'mon Inn Bozeman: $316/night (July 2 - 7)
- Element Bozeman: $502/night (July 2 - 7)
- The LARK Bozeman: $422/night (July 2 - 7)
- Residence Inn by Marriott Bozeman: $332/night (July 2 - 7)
- RSVP Hotel: $383/night (July 2 - 7)
- Field & Stream Lodge Bozeman: $375/night (July 2 - 7)
- Extended Stay America Premier Suites - Belgrade - Bozeman - Yellowstone Airport: $348/night (July 2 - 7)
The Bozeman hotel prices listed above were taken from Travelocity with the same search criteria. Prices fluctuate a lot around here, so this is just a snapshot of what you might find. We dug a little further, looking at hotel prices at more 'gentle' prices:
