Texas invades Montana: The Wilder Blue set to rock Butte’s Covellite Theater
The last time this band came to town they played upstairs at the Knights of Columbus Hall, and they turned a Butte-Irish landmark into a Texas honky tonk. Well, at least for an evening. This time around, they're playing one of Montana's hottest up-and-coming live music venues and since we've seen them last, they have collaborated with one of the biggest names in Country Music and have a lot of new music to share and are in the midst of a whirlwind tour, so anything could happen.
The Wilder Blue is a five-piece Texas band whose sound draws comparison to early work from the Eagles, and it was on an Eagles song that the quintet teamed up with 2021 and 2022 Country Music Association Entertainer of the Year, Luke Combs. Check out their rendition of Seven Bridges Road,
The Wilder Blue are currently on a very ambitious North American tour that is taking them from Pittsburgh to St. Louis, from Jacksonville to Woodstock to even Gallatin Gateway. Hold on tight, Southwest Montana, they will be bringing their show to Butte's Covellite Theater this Friday night. Have you been to a show at the Covellite? This incredible building has served as everything from a church to a theater and now into one of Montana's finest venues to catch a live show.
The Covellite Theater is located at 215 W. Broadway in Historic Uptown Butte. Doors open at 7pm and the band will fire up at 8. Tickets are available here.
