Growing up in Idaho, I was fortunate to get to see live music fairly often. Whether it was the old guy that lived across the street from the house I grew up in, to my first concert, which was George Strait, there was never a shortage of live music in Idaho.

A little about my history. I grew up singing in choirs and developed a love for music at a young age. It is something that I'm extremely passionate about. When you grow up in a state like Idaho or Montana, and a band you grew up listening to makes it to the big time, it's a pretty big deal. For me, that was the case with Reckless Kelly and Micky & the Motorcars. I grew up listening to good ol' Idaho country music. The Braun family is very well-known if you're into Americana music. Gary and Micky Braun and the driving force behind Micky & the Motorcars. Their brother Willy is the lead singer of Reckless Kelly.

Last night, I got the opportunity to see Micky & the Motorcars at a little-known concert venue in Bozeman. Live From the Divide (627 E. Peach St.) is everything you want in a concert venue if you are a music lover. The intimate 50-seat venue allows the audience a unique opportunity to sit just feet away from artists as they perform and share stories. There's not a bad seat in the house, and the sound quality is unparalleled. If you truly want to experience music up close and personal, do yourself a favor and check out Live From the Divide.
