HRDC is a non-profit in Montana that assists our community members of all walks of life. One major benefit provided by the HRDC is their ability to work with the Gallatin Valley Food Bank, and provide food to any and all families that need it. This wouldn't be possible without all of YOU.

It's the time of year that the Gallatin Valley Food Bank starts to see an even bigger demand for food throughout the Gallatin Valley which is why they host their annual "Spring for Food" event.

The event takes place on April 6th at grocery stores in Bozeman and Belgrade and will go from 10 am to 3 pm.

This event is huge for our community, as worded perfectly by the HRDC:

The need for food and nutrition support continues to grow in our region. Households are struggling greatly to make ends meet given our area’s high cost of housing and other living expenses. Over the past six months alone, our local food bank has distributed over 1,600 boxes of groceries per month including fresh produce, dairy, meat and canned goods.. -Jill Holder, HRDC’s Food and Nutrition Director

The Gallatin Valley Food Bank has made a goal of gathering 15,000 lbs. of food during this event, and they believe the communities of Bozeman and Belgrade can exceed that goal with their track record of generosity.
