During these hard times, our community is stepping up to help one another and this weekend is no different.  A group of friends, neighbors, organizations, churches, and businesses in the community have banned together to help fill refrigerators for families and spread joy.

They will be distributing 50,000 pounds of locally grown potatoes, 10,000 pounds of ground beef, and 8,000 pounds of canned goods to anyone who comes.

Here's what you need to know about getting these FREE meat, potatoes & canned goods:

  • Head to the Gallatin Valley Mall Parking lot.
  • They will be distributed Saturday and Sunday 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., while supplies last.
  • Please adhere to social distancing guidelines.
  • These are FREE local Montana potatoes, FREE Montana ground beef, and FREE canned goods
  • Potatoes and beef will be distributed to anyone present. There are no need-based requirements.

On Friday, to prepare for the event, the Bozeman Fire Department is going to wash a semi load of potatoes with their pumper truck at the mall at 3 p.m.  The public is welcome to come out and watch but please stay socially distant or perhaps watch from your vehicle. Also, Montana Crane is bringing a crane and will be flying their giant American flag.
