I was having a conversation with someone when the question arose, "what is the most amount of money you've ever spent on dinner?"  For me, it was a few years ago, my Mother In Law was in town and we took her over to Chico Hot Springs for her birthday.

My wife and her enjoyed the hot springs while I drank Shirley Temples at the bar.

Of course, Chico is home to the historic dinning room and I knew that they had Beef Wellington on the menu (a bucket list menu item I've always wanted to try) well, as it turns out, my MIL wanted to try it as well. Plus we needed an appetizer and of course, desert.

When it was all said and done, it cost me around 300 bucks including tip. Now, I will tell you, it was an amazing meal and the service was top notch. However, Chico Hot Springs is not the home of the most expensive meal in Montana.

Which restaurant is the most expensive in Montana?

No, for that you will need to go to the city of Billings. Lot's of folks crack jokes about Billings, but their culinary scene is top notch and if you're looking for a delicious and pricy meal, you need to check out the restaurant Ten.

According to the folks over at USA State Facts on Tik-Toc Montana's most expensive place to dine is Ten. It will cost you a buck or two, however, looking at their menu, it doesn't seem over the top. Don't get me wrong, there is no value meal, but for fine dining, it seems pretty spot on.

I know there are restaurants in the state that are more expensive, but maybe they're not on the list because their private.
