This Popular Easter Candy Voted Montana’s Favorite

Easter is right around the corner this Sunday, 4/20, and with it comes all the usual traditions: egg hunts, pastel everything, and those classic Easter baskets. One of the most iconic parts of the holiday? The candy. From chocolate bunnies to sugary marshmallow treats, every state has its own favorites, and Montana is no exception.

You've probably noticed store shelves here in Montana shifting into full Easter mode. Marshmallow Peeps, chocolate bunnies, jelly beans... you name it. Everyone has their go-to, and some of these treats are more controversial than others.

Personally, I can't wrap my head around Peeps. How anyone eats one without making a face like a kid trying Brussels sprouts is beyond me. Bleh.

That said, let's take a look at which Easter candies are winning in each state—and more importantly, which ones Montana can't get enough of.

What Is The Most Popular Easter Candy?

First up—Peeps. You either love 'em or hate 'em. However, according to this study, Peeps are the most popular Easter candy in the country. They ranked as the top-searched treat in 11 states. That sugary coating, gooey marshmallow center, and those neon colors must be irresistible for most people... somehow.

Coming in at a close second: Cadbury Creme Eggs. Eight states, Montana included, picked this infamous treat as their top choice. This delicious, chocolatey British import has clearly won over American hearts (and taste buds).
