I am an old pro when it comes to Craigslist.  I seem to love a good deal, and if I ever need something I just throw an ad up and usually have luck getting it.  If you haven't been on Craigslist I would encourage you to take a gander.  It's almost like a never ending garage sale, except you don't have to drive from place to place to find the goods.  Most people put up pictures so you know what you are getting yourself into before you ever drive to pick it up.  I was even able to find the duplex that I am renting through the site.  It costs nothing to post and nothing to email people.  Sure the website looks like it hasn't been updated since 1999, it's efficient and that is all that matters.  No pop-up adds, or hard to read posts, just the basic info you need to purchase someone elses stuff.

The Hate Side Of Things

It does have it's downfalls, there are random scammers from around the world that love to take advantage of people.  If a deal is to good to be true be a little leery.  I once responded to an ad for a great rental, the people said they were in Africa and needed me to wire the money and that a friend would bring me a key---  That one was definitely a scam!  So watch out for the bad guys but enjoy the never ending supply of stuff on Craigslist! Oh and stay away from the personal ads--- They are a little scary!
