A Bozeman tattoo artist has a deal for people wanting to permanently show their support for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Doug Curzon, owner of Sacred Images Tattoo and Piercing, is offering a 50/50 split for anyone wanting to get a St. Jude emblem tattoo anytime between now and the end of the St. Jude Radiothon on XL Country 100.7. That means, if a tattoo costs $60 then $30 will go to St. Jude and $30 will go to cover the cost of the tattoo.

The St. Jude Radiothon can be heard on XL Country 100.7 from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, March 3 and Friday, March 4.

A few years ago, Bryan Barnhardt and Dave Kuhn came to Curzon with a request for a St. Jude tattoo.

“That was the first time somebody came to me with that,” Curzon remembers.

Curzon agreed.

Each year Barnhardt and Kuhn organize a head shaving event at the Filling Station during the St. Jude Radiothon to raise money to donate. Each year, when their heads are shaved, their St. Jude tattoos are revealed on the back of their shaved heads.

Agreeing to get a St. Jude Tattoo from Curzon doesn’t mean that you have to get it on your head, though.

For Curzon, offering the tattoos and donating half the proceeds to St. Jude is his way of saying “thank you” to people helping the nonprofit.

If you’d like to make an appointment for a St. Jude tattoo, call Sacred Images at 406-587-9621. Sacred Images is located at 416 N. 7th Ave., Bozeman.
