Earlier today, the Montana State Bobcats Women's Basketball Team lost to Idaho State in the first round of the Big Sky Conference Tournament, on a buzzer beater, 57-55.

The loss comes at the worst possible time of the Bobcats. Fresh off of arguably the best season in program history, the Bobcats could not make it out of the first round of the Big Sky Conference Tournament Championship. A half court shot with 0.2 seconds left on the clock sealed the deal for the Idaho State Bengals, who will play North Dakota on Friday.

The loss put an end to the Bobcats hopes of an NCAA Tournament appearance, however, this is not the end of their season. Since the Bobcats won the regular season conference championship, they have an automatic invitation to the WNIT Tournament. The WNIT will begin next week, with seedings being announced on Monday, March 14th.
