Back in 2021, my wife and I had the chance to move back to Montana and work and live in Bozeman,.

Even though I wasn't born here, Montana is my favorite place and the idea of coming back was something that I had wanted to do. So, we packed up all of our stuff, loaded it into a big U-Haul and came to Bozeman.

It should be noted that when we arrived, it was darn near impossible to find a place to live. We applied for an apartment that was open and luckily were picked, we moved in, and started the current chapter of our lives.

Over the last few years, we've watched as townhouses, condos, and apartments have spung up all over town to keep up with the demand of the people moving here, and according to reports, that demand has been met. In fact, I read somewhere that Bozeman has up to a 30 percent vacancy in apartment complexes.

It's true, all those folks moving to Bozeman, have slowed down. Plus, there are other towns gaining in popularity like Kalispell.

So, which town in Montana do people want to move to? According to the experts over at Move Buddha, Bozeman still takes the Top Spot in Montana. In fact, not only is Bozeman #1 in Montana, but #15 nationwide.

Pretty impressive for a place that is so expensive to call home.

Although, it should be noted that Bozeman has excellent schools, Montana State University, a thriving social scene, and tons of outdoor activities to participate in. So, it certainly makes sense why people want to live here, the real question is...can they afford to?
