Bobcats Rush Into Texas: Info for Texas Tech Game
The Montana State Bobcats kickoff their 2019 season on the road Saturday in Lubbock, Texas, against the Texas Tech Red Raiders. Game time is 2 p.m. and you can listen to the game on 100.7 XL Country starting at 1 p.m. with the Bobcat pre-game show.

- This is only the 2nd meeting between Montana State & Texas Tech. The Red Raiders won that in Lubbock back in 1938 35-0. Texas Tech finished that season 10-0 before losing in the Cotton Bowl to St. Mary's 20-13.
- The Bobcats will open the season with a new quarterback, red-shirt freshman Casey Baumen.
- Montana State is ranked 14th in the FCS to start the season.
- This will be head coach Jeff Choate's fourth season. The Bobcats are 17-18 under Choate. 12-7 at home, 5-11 on the road, and 3-0 against the Griz.
- Bobcats have new announcers for this season. Jason Alvine will handle play-by-play, while Zach Mackey will provide color. Dan Davies will again be on the sidelines.
