The rivalry between Montana State University and the University of Montana is one of the longest-running in college football. There's nothing quite like being inside either stadium when the two teams face off in the annual Cat/Griz game. The first game took place in 1897.

According to College Sports Corner, Montana State Football has been named the "Big Brother" college football program in the state.
The fact is, we're in a new era of college football in Montana, and the Bobcats have been improving year after year. In 2021, the Bobcats faced North Dakota State in the FCS National Chamionship, and lost 38-10. In 2022, the Bobcats fell to SDSU in the FCS Semifinals.
If you're a fan of college football, there's no denying that the Bobcats have been more exciting to watch in recent years. Bobcat Stadium has become one of the hardest places to play for opposing teams in the Big Sky Conference due to sell-out crowds at every home game.
