We're expecting snow to move in on Thanksgiving and that should make for a great opening weekend at Big Sky Ski Resort. The lifts open for the first time this season on Thanksgving Day at 9 a.m.

Big Sky Info:

  • Ski lifts run 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (weather permitting)
  • Chair lifts = 24  Surface lifs = 12
  • Average is 400+ inches
  • Lift capacity is 38,300 skiers per hour
  • Four new snowcats will debut on the mountain at Big Sky this winter season, providing meticulously groomed slopes to greet skiers each morning of the ski season.
